Vic: Napthine will "live to regret" criticisms, Lib powerbroker
Liberal party powerbroker RON WALKER says Victorian opposition leader DENIS NAPTHINE
will live to regret his criticisms of the previous Kennett government.
Mr WALKER, the party's outgoing federal treasurer, has accused Dr NAPTHINE of being
indiscreet for criticising former premier JEFF KENNETT'S administration in its final term
of government.
Speaking at the party's state council yesterday Dr NAPTHINE said the previous Kennett
government failed to listen to voters and made crucial mistakes during its final three
years in office.
Mr WALKER says the Liberal Party is performing well in Victoria, but Dr NAPTHINE'S
comments about Mr KENNETT are unfortunate and misjudged.
Speaking to ABC radio Mr WALKER says Mr KENNETT was and is a great listener.
